January opens with the first mindful breath of dawn — a gentle invitation for each person to pause, renew themselves, and step into the new year with full presence.

At Tịnh Viên Maha Mangala, we believe that a new year truly begins from a mindful awareness — with gratitude for what has passed, and an open heart to welcome the wholesome seeds waiting to sprout. With the aspiration to accompany our friends during the early days of the Year of Bính Ngọ, Maha Mangala introduces its regular nurturing programs throughout January.

 

Awakening to a New Day

Awakening to a New Day” takes place every Saturday morning, offering a space to begin the day in slowness and mindfulness. The morning unfolds with warm meditation tea, gratitude verses gently chanted in deep listening, and a mindful breakfast shared in full presence.

The program is an invitation to return and care for both body and mind, nurturing compassion toward oneself and toward those around us, before stepping back into the rhythm of everyday life.

 

Morning Meditation Gathering

Morning Meditation Gathering” takes place every Sunday morning, beginning with the sound of a bell awakening the dawn. Participants practice walking meditation by the sea, sit in meditation with the morning breeze, and share a mindful meal together.

This morning meditation space allows body and mind to settle, awakens gratitude for the life present in this moment, and nurtures wholesome energy for the entire day.

Full Moon Buffet – 14th Day of the 11th Lunar Month (02/01/2026)

The Full Moon Buffet on the 14th day of the 11th lunar month, held on January 2, 2026, with the theme “Returning — Holding Life with Care,” offers a space for deep stillness at the beginning of the year at Tịnh Viên Maha Mangala.

By candlelight and beneath the first full moon of the year, friends come together to sound the bell, offer prayers, and recite verses of gratitude around a mindful dining table. This buffet is not only nourishment for the body, but also an opportunity to deeply sense that all blessings are cultivated from what is simple and sincere.

 

“Season of Peaceful Ease” Companionship Card

Beginning January 15, the “Season of Peaceful Ease” Companionship Card is a gentle invitation to return, unhurriedly, to the rhythm of everyday life at Tịnh Viên Maha Mangala.

Participants may, according to their own affinity, be present in daily activities such as sitting meditation in the morning sunlight, enjoying tea in stillness, copying sutras, listening to podcasts, or strolling amidst nature. With no rushed schedule and no goals to attain, the space simply allows body and mind to truly rest, and for a sense of dwelling in ease to be nurtured naturally.

Grateful to Be Alive — Living in Gratitude

“Grateful to Be Alive — Living in Gratitude” is a program designed in the format of one day or two days and one night, for groups who wish to pause, look deeply, listen, and nurture gratitude for life.

The program is well suited for families, organizations, or communities seeking a slow, safe, and deeply nourishing space in the spirit of mindfulness.

 

Tam Dưỡng — Nutritional Care, Physical Care, and Mental Care

Tam Dưỡng is a journey of holistic nourishment for Body, Mind, and Awareness, thoughtfully designed with flexibility to meet specific needs. Through mindful eating, gentle movement, and meditation practice, participants are invited to return and care for themselves in a whole and integrated way.

Tam Dưỡng programs may be offered as day-long or multi-day experiences, well suited for groups seeking to renew energy and re-establish a balanced rhythm of living.
